About the Founder

Norma Newton is a devoted mother, wife, daughter, sister, friend and creative.  A graduate of Vassar College and Loyola Law School, Norma loves reading, writing and all things beautiful.  She identifies as American, Brown, Chicana, Indigenous, Latina, Mexican and Purépecha (although not necessarily in that order).  She believes all of these labels are both accurate and incomplete attempts to describe her complex and fluid identity.  Tired of rarely seeing multifaceted people like herself in popular media and cultural outlets, she decided to fill that void.  When not highlighting the beautifully diverse world in which she lives, Norma can be found working on a collection of personal essays, practicing yoga, traveling, drinking tea with friends or having family dance parties.
